Visiting Pier 39
Located at the easternmost end of Fisherman's Wharf along The Embarcadero, Pier 39 is a destination in itself. From the double-decker carousel to the sea lions, from the street performances to the dozens of places to eat, you will find plenty to do here. With over 60 shops to browse, you are likely to find just the memento to remind yourself of your visit to San Francisco. Maybe jewelry is what you have in mind, or possibly a dramatic seascape to hang over the mantle. Visit the wine shop and bring home a fine Napa Valley wine. SF Travel Guide's Recommendations:
Hours & Location Shops and attractions are open daily from 10:00 am until 7-9 pm depending upon the day and season. Full service restaurants are open one hour later. Pier 39 is located on Beach and The Embarcadero, two blocks east of Fisherman's wharf. A parking structure is located immediately across the street from Pier 39. Parking rates for it are $7.00/hr with a $35 daily maximum. Validation is available at any full-service restaurant when dining - 1 hour for lunch before 6pm and 2 hours for dinner after 6pm. Limited on street metered parking is also available. For on-street parking, try southeast of Pier 39 on The Embarcadero.
