Sacramento International Airport (SMF)

SMF airport is adjacent to highway 5. The airport is located 91 miles east of Downtown San Francisco.

Rental Cars

All rental car companies at Sacramento International Airport may be accessed by taking the Rental Car Terminal Shuttle to the Rental Car Terminal. Shuttle buses frequently transport passengers between the rental car terminal and the rental car shuttle stops in front of each terminal.

All rental car agencies at are located in one central area. The terminal serves Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Dollar, Hertz and National as well as serving as a pick up point for two local off-airport agencies.

You can locate a taxi in the ground transportation area adjacent to the baggage claim area at Terminal A and across from the airport hotel at Terminal B.

Taxi Rates: $2.80 for the first mile, $2.20 for each additional mile. One-way between the airport and downtown Sacramento is about $25.00.

Getting from SMF to Public Transportation

Yolobus offers public bus service from the airport to downtown Sacramento. There is a posted stop outside each terminal. Service runs about every 45 minutes from 5:30 am to 10:15 pm. Call (530) 666-2877 for schedules or more information. The fare is $1.50.
