Oakland International Airport (OAK)

OAK airport is adjacent to highway 880. The airport is located 12 miles southwest of Downtown Oakland, 20 miles southeast of San Francisco and 37 miles northeast of Downtown San Jose.

Getting from OAK to Public Transportation

BART - AirBart bus travels between the airport and the BART Coliseum stop every 15 minutes. Fare is $2.00. The bus runs from 6:00 am to midnight, Sunday from 8:00 am.

AC Transit Bus service to and from the Oakland International Airport is provided by AC Transit lines 50 and N.

Line 50 operates every 15 minutes between approximately 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. and every 30 minutes between 9:00 p.m. and midnight, connecting the Oakland Airport with BART at the Coliseum Station. Line 50 also serves destinations in east Alameda, east Oakland, and San Leandro.

Line N operates every 60 minutes between approximately 12:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m., connecting the Oakland Airport with east Oakland, downtown Oakland, and downtown San Francisco (at the Transbay Terminal at First and Mission streets).

Local bus fare is $1.50, children under 5 ride free. Transbay (to San Francisco) bus fare is $3.00 for adults.
